The Amalfi Coast is probably one of the most photogenic places in the world. With colorful coastal towns perched atop the dramatic cliffs overlooking the turquoise Mediterranean waters, it is no doubt that just about every corner here is photo-worthy. When traveling here, dining with a view is a must! I’ve scouted 10 beautiful restaurants on the Amalfi Coast for you to take in the views and eat authentic Italian food. Read along to find out more about my favorites!

WHERE TO EAT ON THE AMALFI COAST
1. RISTORANTE BRUNO
Ristorante Bruno is a small restaurant located on the side of the main road in Positano with some of the most incredible views from their street-side terrace. I loved the food here and keep going back again and again to admire the iconic backdrop of Positano with an apèrol spritz in hand. I recommend calling to reserve if you can as they don’t have a website. We just popped in as walk-ins and barely waited for a table!
2. MAESTRO’S
Maestro’s is located at the ultra-luxe Villa Treville. Villa Treville is a VERY private, very secluded residence of 4 luxurious villas located on the edge of Positano. The only way non-residents can visit the property is by dining at Maestro’s, and trust me, it is worth it! The restaurant has the most beautiful views overlooking Positano and the food is sublime!
3. LE ARCATE
Le Arcate is a beach-side hole-in-the-wall restaurant located in Atrani (it’s quite literally built into the rock wall that supports the town above). This dive has an amazing view of the small beach town, delicious Italian food and super-affordable prices- a rare find on the Amalfi Coast! Atrani is one of the smallest towns in Italy and it is oh, so charming! (plus it’s only a 15 minute walk from Amalfi)
4. IL SAN PIETRO DI POSITANO
Il San Pietro di Positano is the perfect spot for an Italian aperitivo with a view over the Positano coastline. An aperitivo is essentially a cocktail hour with some yummy snacks and it’s one of the many things that I love about Italy! I highly recommend ordering the signature Bellini here, crafted with home-made peach purée. This hotel also has two great restaurants for your post-cocktail nosh, one of which is Michelin-starred.
5. O’PARRUCCHIANO LA FAVORITA
O’ Parrucchiano la Favorita is a restaurant located in Sorrento with one of the most unique atmospheres I’ve witnessed – the restaurant is nestled underneath large stretches of lemon groves right in the city center. I’m not talking about just a few lemon trees- it is COVERED with them! This restaurant also invented the Canneloni in 1860 (large tube pasta stuffed with cheese and meat or spinach) and it was heavenly!
While not technically on the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento is so close by and this restaurant is a must-visit! Want more info on Sorrento? Check out my Sorrento Italy Travel Guide
6. ARIENZO BEACH CLUB
Pasta on the beach? Don’t mind if I do. Ariezno Beach Club is a private beach club located in Positano, which is only accessible by a free shuttle boat (or hours of hiking!). Not only is the beach beautiful, but the food is also delicious! Bonus: the orange chairs and umbrellas are a great photo-op.
7. RISTORANTE DON GIOVANNI
Ristorante Don Giovanni is a great spot to go to if you are looking for those Positano postcard views. Located in the Albergo California Hotel, this vine-covered terrazza has some of the best sunset views of the sea and the town below.
8. LA SPONDA
La Sponda = interior GOALS! This gorgeous Michelin-starred restaurant is located in one of Positano’s iconic luxury hotels, Le Sireneuse. Everything about this place exudes the Italian elegance of La Dolce Vita: vine-covered ceilings, lemon trees, crisp white linens and decadent cuisine. Le Sirenuese is also home to Aldo’s Champagne Bar & Seafood Grill, Pool Bar & Restaurant, and Franco’s Bar, all of which are equally as instagrammable.
9. VOCE ‘E NOTTE
Voce ‘e Notte is a great sunset bar and restaurant located in Praiano. If you’re looking to get away from some of the larger towns like Positano or Amalfi, Praiano is a great little escape! I saw the MOST beautiful sunset view of the entire trip while dining here at Voce ‘e Notte, stretching all the way from Positano on the right to Capri on the left!
10. RADA BEACH RESTAURANT
If you’re planning a beach day in Positano, Rada Beach Restaurant is a great spot right on the beach that actually has good food AND good views! Plus its completely shaded, so it will be a much-needed escape from the Italian sun.
OTHER NOTABLE MENTIONS:
- Ristorante Terrazza Celè: Treat yourself to a nice meal on a private garden terrazza facing towards the sea and sunset
- Il Tridente: Go for neopolitain cuisine served on a terrazza with views of Positano and Praiano
- Ristorante Bruno: Dine on the streets of Positano while admiring the ocean. Be prepared to wait for a table on the street with a view!
- Casa E Bottega: Come for breakfast or brunch in this cute cafe & concept store
