Travel isn’t about the insta pics, it’s about the memories you experience, interacting with locals & learning about a new culture. I often catch myself forgetting this as our generation is so focused on capturing the moment for social media, so it’s a conscious effort for me to appreciate these small moments and remain present while traveling!

My India trip was one that truly showed this to me & one I’ll never ever forget!

the most beautiful yet most foul place I’ve ever

the most beautiful yet most foul place I’ve ever visited 📍 Chouara Tannery in Fez, Morocco. Don’t let these photos fool you… the smell of the tannery is something indescribable. There’s a reason why they give you mint leaves to stick up your nose to block the odor as I almost gagged upon stepping into the tannery (& couldn’t bear the smell of eating any sort of meat for several days afterwards). BUT & this is a HUGE but…. I have no regrets on visiting or enduring the smell. It’s truly an art form to see the traditional leather dying process and the incredible labors of the men who work here to make the beautiful leather that Morocco is so well-known for. I was luckily to be able to enter the tannery and watch the grueling process of their craft, which gave me so much appreciation for the beauty of this place
