It’s that time of year! Rosé season is upon us and I’m alllll for it. It’s extra warm here in Texas, so I love making frosé (frozen rosé) to tackle that Texas heat while sipping a glass of summertime. It’s the perfect drink for a girls day by the pool or a backyard picnic, plus it’s incredibly refreshing and easy!
Upgrade your summer picnic with some delicious homemade frosé that is just the right amount of refreshing and sweet!
THE BEST FROSÉ RECIPE
This recipe only requires only a few simple ingredients to create a delicious pitcher of frosé. I recommend serving in cute cups with a sugar rim or strawberry garnish.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 bottle of Studio by Miraval Rosé
- 2 cups of strawberries
- 1 tbsp rosewater
- 2 oz lime juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups crushed ice
INSTRUCTIONS
- Pour the bottle of rosé into a glass baking dish and store in the freezer until it’s solid (5-6 hours or overnight).
- Prepare the simple syrup by combining the sugar and water and brining to a boil until the sugar dissolves completely. Stir continuously and remove from heat once dissolved.
- Slice 2 cups of strawberries and add them to the simple syrup. Let the strawberry mixture sit for 30 minutes and strain with a mesh strainer to remove all of the solid strawberry pieces from the strawberry syrup.
- Scrape the frozen rosé out of the baking dish and transfer to the blender. Add the strawberry syrup mixture, rosewater, lime juice and ice. Combine until the mixture is smooth and slushy. Enjoy!
