Viva Las Vegas! Who doesn’t love a good girls’ trip to Vegas? There are so many cool shows, delicious restaurants and fun bars & clubs to let loose and live your best life here. When you travel to Las Vegas, you feel larger than life…much like the surroundings!
Where else in the world can you find Rome, Paris and Venice all within walking distance from one another? Ok, so I know it’s not the real deal, but it is a surreal feeling to experience all of these places in one spot! The Las Vegas area has so many photo-worthy locations, so I’ve put this guide together with some tips to help you snap some some memories on your next trip!
1. WELCOME TO FABULOUS LAS VEGAS SIGN
The icon. Do you really travel to Las Vegas if you don’t see the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign? This sign is located at the start of the Las Vegas Strip and has been a landmark of the city since 1959. EVERYONE takes a photo here, so this means that there is a queue during peak times of the day. If you don’t want to wait, come early in the morning before everyone wakes up from last night’s festivities.
2. THE NEON MUSEUM
The Neon Museum is a curious location located just north of The Strip. This museum houses neon signs from old casinos and former businesses, making for a unique experience to walk beside these giant colorful remains of the city’s history. This spot is definitely instagrammable, but be warned: you can only take pictures with a cell phone here and they will not let you enter the property with a camera!
3. PARIS LAS VEGAS HOTEL
I lived in Paris for a few years, so I am quite familiar with all things Parisian. The Paris Las Vegas Hotel may not have the real Eiffel Tower, but the replica is pretty close and just as impressive to see in the center of the Las Vegas Strip!
Photo Tip: Walk across to the Bellagio Fountain viewing deck for the best shot with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
4. SEVEN MAGIC MOUNTAINS
The Seven Magic Mountains is a sculpture installation located about 20-30 minutes from The Strip in the middle of the desert. This colorful place is a popular spot for photographers and Instagrammers alike, but it can be tricky to get to! I highly recommend renting a car for the day to travel to this spot and a few others on this list that are located off of The Strip!
5. VALLEY OF FIRE
Ok, so the Valley of Fire is not technically in Las Vegas, but it is close by and well worth a day trip if you want to escape the chaos of the city. The Valley of Fire is a state park located around 1-1.5 hours from Las Vegas and it is well-known for its red sandstone formations. Visiting this park was the highlight of my trip! I have never seen such a gorgeous landscape completely covered in shades of red and orange; it felt like I was exploring planet Mars! Some popular photography treks here are the Fire Wave and Mouse’s Tank Road.
6. TREVI FOUNTAIN AT CAESAR’S PALACE
Another Las Vegas replica. This fountain is located directly outside of the Forum Shops at Caesar’s palace and it has a distinct similarity to the Trevi Fountain in Rome. While the real fountain is much more elaborate and impressive (and crowded!), this makes for a fun shot if you can’t make it out to Rome!
7. THE VENETIAN HOTEL
The Venetian Hotel is one of my favorites on The Strip. The attention to detail here is beyond impressive and I absolutely love seeing all of my favorite Venice landmarks recreated here in an imaginative way. The canals in front of the hotel are a great spot for the ‘gram, so take a ride in a gondola and snap away!
8. NELLIS DUNES
The Nellis Dunes are a popular spot for trekking and ATV rides, located outside the city center around 20 minutes from The Strip. The dunes here stretch from stone dunes to actual sand dunes, so you can get creative with a cool desert shot and explore beautiful scenery!
I hope this guide helps you land the perfect photo!
