We met as internet friends, traveled the world together and made careers out of our passion for exploring. Our team has spent countless hours planning trips, traveling, and experiencing new cultures.
Our travel expertise and our passion to build a community of travel girls is what led us to start Scout Escapes. We love that traveling can create life-long friendships through experiences you’ll never forget.
We always curate our trips with you in mind and organize a balance of planned activities and free time for you to fully immerse yourself in a new destination. Our team organizes all of the details, so all you have to do is sit back, relax and fall in love with traveling!
WHERE WE’RE STAYING
We want to prioritize your comfort and convenience to provide you the best experience on this trip, so we have chosen beautiful 4* and 5* hotels in Mykonos and Santorini with amazing reviews, excellent amenities, picturesque views and luxurious hotel designs.
Our hotel selections are 5* Alissachni in Mykonos (3 nights), 4* Secret View Hotel in Santorini (3 nights).
WHAT WE’RE DOING
We have crafted a balanced itinerary in order for you to get the most of your trip with us while having plenty of free time to explore on your own! We have chosen unique and sought after experiences specifically for you and this destination like a private boat experience in Santorini, cabanas at a famous Mykonos beach club, day trips to charming Greek towns, walking/ photo tours to all of the iconic spots in Mykonos and Santorini, and more! Thanks to our intimate group size we are able to partake in activities that aren’t available for larger groups.
During your free time you are welcome to tag along with us or explore on your own. We will provide plenty of free time and recommendations for your free time. We will all stay connected via WhatsApp and will have things planned for you if you choose to join us.

WHO IS THIS TRIP FOR?
This trip is perfect for open-minded travel lovers looking to make genuine connections and partake in amazing experiences! Our goal is to organize a trip filled with positive and easy-going girls who are up for anything.
Unlike many other group trips, we want our group sizes to feel comfortable and intimate. We don’t want you leaving the group trip not being able to remember everyone’s name! We want to create an environment where everyone is able to get to know each other and make friends for life.
UNIQUE CONSIDERATIONS FOR GREECE
- Be up for car and ferry rides! The best way to travel through Greece is via car and ferry.
- Bring walking shoes and be mindful of stairs! Towns in Mykonos and Santorini have a lot of stairs and are only accessible on foot, so be sure to bring comfortable shoes!
MEET YOUR HOSTS
Hi there! Our names are Sam and Nicole and we connected over our love for travel. BumbleBFF brought us together and we’ve been on over 10 trips together over the past year and half. Nicole is a luxury travel agent specializing in custom tailor made itineraries and Sam is a travel content creator and blogger. Italy is one of our favorite destinations and we can’t wait to take you along for this trip and get to know each and every one of you!
Some fun facts about us:
Sam loves taking photos and videos, espresso martinis, dancing the night away, saying yes to new experiences, learning new languages, reality tv binges, retail therapy, and her favorite destination of all time is Paris.
Some of Nicole’s favorite things are… pasta, scary movies, binging shows on Netflix, gin and tonics, doing the daily Wordle, planning trips, and her favorite destination of all time is Florence!

- In Europe, it’s common for the same room type in a hotel to differ in size based on its placement in the building, therefore not all rooms will be the exact same size or have the same decor.
- All pricing is based on double occupancy per hotel room. If you would like to inquire about having a single room, the price and room will be based upon availability.
EXPERIENCES & FREE TIME
- We want to provide the classic sought over activities in these destinations while also making them unique. We work with only the best partners to curate our group experiences.
- All experiences included in the itinerary are fixed into the price and you are unable to opt out of those.
- You will have some time in each location to explore on your own and we will provide a list of suggestions for you!
PRE/POST TRIP
- For those of you wanting to arrive early or extend your stay – we can help with that! We would be happy to assist you in arranging your pre or post trip!
TRAVEL INSURANCE
- We will require everyone to have travel insurance for this trip! You can purchase this insurance through us or through your own provider but this will cover things like lost luggage, flight delays, medical coverage, and more. We offer very affordable travel insurance options!
FLIGHTS
- It is best to book your flight in advance as soon as you are able, especially since we are traveling at a popular time.
- We always recommend booking your flights directly with the airlines to receive the best cancellation policy and have the best customer service when it comes to canceled flights, missed connections, or lost luggage. Booking with a third party can be hit or miss when you are trying to get help!
- If you have questions about booking your flights, we will be happy to help!
Flights should be booked by April 1st so we can appropriately schedule the transfers from/to the airport. There will be two departure times based on everyone’s flight schedule to accommodate as many as possible.
MEALS
- Any meals mentioned in the itinerary are included in the price. All other meals are at your own expense.
- We will have nightly reservations at restaurants every night if you would like to join the group, but we will provide other recommendations for you.
SAFETY
- Safety is very important to us! For group activities and travel during the trip we will all be together. During your free time we ask that you let us know where you are headed and when you plan to be back.
- We will create a group chat for everyone to stay in contact with one another, and we recommend when going off on your own to go off in pairs!
- We will be staying in and only visiting safe areas of the city.

CANCELLATION POLICY + TERMS
READ MORE HEREIf considered/accepted to participate in a Scout Escapes trip, I hereby acknowledge, and agree to, the following booking and cancellation terms and conditions:All bookings are made with Nicole Kahla and Samantha McClendon, a sole proprietor and the owner of all of her advertised itineraries (“Scout Escapes,”, “Journeys by Nicole”, “The Blonde Scout”, “we,” or “us”). By booking a trip with us, paying a deposit or agreeing to these terms, you accept all of the terms in this agreement on your own behalf and direct us to perform services for each and every Traveler. The terms and conditions set forth in this agreement constitute agreement between you the Traveler (“you” or “your”) and Scout Escapes with respect to any and all bookings, reservations, trips, or transactions made with us.
Bookings may be made through our online registration system. The deposit and payment schedule for this trip is listed on the registration page. Review the deposit and payment schedules, as well as the cancellation terms listed below, carefully. Note that a booking is not accepted and there is no contract between us until we confirm your booking in writing.
Any cancellations will result in the loss of your deposit and other monies paid to us for your trip. In the event a participant needs to cancel, it is mandatory for the participant to notify Scout Escapes by email (scoutescapes@gmail.com).
Our cancellation policy is as follows:- I acknowledge that I will be required to sign an additional liability waiver-Initial deposits of $750 are non-refundable under any circumstances.
-45 days or more before the trip, 50% of the payment is refundable (excluding $750 deposit)
-31 to 45 days before the trip, 30% of total payment is refundable (excluding $750 deposit)
-30 days before the trip no payment will be refunded.BY REGISTERING FOR A SCOUT ESCAPES TRIP, YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY AGREEING TO THE FOLLOWING:
Participants understand that travel within the United States and international travel are subject to certain inherent and other risks and dangers, all of which are too numerous to list, which include, but are not limited to, acts of God, terrorism, civil unrest, hazards of travel in difficult terrain, weather (including mudslides, rockslides, hurricanes, monsoons), altitudes, travel by air, motor vehicles, or other conveyance, exposure to disease, drowning, accidents, bites, and the negligent acts or omissions of the Scout Escapes, its shareholders, managers, employees, agents, subcontractors, Tour Companies, all other participants in the tour, and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on Scout Escapes behalf. Participants further acknowledge that the forces of nature, crime, civil unrest and personal injury or illness in remote areas without means of rapid evacuation or adequate medical care or supplies are risks which exist in international travel. These risks cannot be eliminated, and Participants willingly assume these risks. Participants understand that any of these risks may result in rescheduling the trip, bodily or emotional injury, death and/or damage to property, including lost luggage or other belongings, to Participants or to third parties. Participants understand the physical requirements of the activity in which they will be participating, and Participants shall have no known physical, medical or mental condition which would impair his or her ability to participate in this Tour or their safety in these activity, or else Participants should be willing to assume all risks that may be created, directly or indirectly, by any such condition. Participants hereby authorize Scout Escapes and the Tour Companies to arrange for any emergency medical treatment and hospitalization as may be necessary for me because of participation in this Tour without my further consent. Participants certify that they have adequate insurance to cover any injury or damage they may cause or suffer while participating, while inside and outside the United States of America, or else I agree to bear the costs of such injury or damage myself and all related costs, such as evacuation, etc. Participants understand that there may be delays and sudden change of schedules and/or cancellation of schedules before or during the Tour. While reasonable care will be taken in selecting transportation, accommodations, and event, Participant understands that cancellations by Tour Companies, breakdowns, and delays may occur. Participants understands that circumstances may arise such that Participants might be asked not to go on the Tour or to return early, or delays or changes in the Tour schedule may occur and that only those monies refunded to Agency by third party Tour Companies, or still in the possession of Agency will be refunded to Participants. Participants have been strongly advised to obtain travel insurance which, under certain circumstances, insures against unforeseen travel issues and risks such as inability to participate in the tour, travel/tourism bankruptcies, cancellations, interruptions, delays, lost/stolen/damaged travel documents and personal property, medical expenses, evacuation and other emergency transportation.
